Insurance administration automation sets the stage for strategic accomplishments
Oakland, CA, January 10, 2011 – Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance of Macon, GA, has moved into production statewide with 1100 users working on StoneRiver’s Policy, Claims and Billing software solutions that will replace highly customized legacy mainframe systems over the next several years. StoneRiver’s Policy STAR® system now streamlines processing for the insurer’s quotes, applications, policy issuance and endorsements for new homeowner policies. Claims Workstation helps manage the full life cycle of claims from small, low severity to large, highly complex claims for these policies. Additionally, FAB Billing now handles account level billing, while enabling flexibility and new billing options.
Mike Cook, General Manager of Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance, said that his organization selected the insurance administration solutions partly due to the scope of the product offerings and the product’s ability to handle the demands of a medium size carrier. “Updating these core systems was part of our larger strategic plan to better serve our insureds through new billing options and competitive rating. We are committed to continual improvement of our products and services. These powerful insurance software solutions are an important step in taking us to the next level.”
The significant project encompassed new reporting, print, forms and other solutions as well. “To successfully implement an end-to-end solution in under two years with a project that required nearly 20 interfaces called for complete dedication from our internal teams and the same from our StoneRiver team,” added Larry Monroe, Senior Director of Information and Technology. “Our decision to go with StoneRiver was also driven by their commitment to innovation that fits our company’s strategic direction.”
“Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance really worked hard to make sure there was a strong alignment of information technology with their business goals for member service and satisfaction. This was a strong contributor to the success of our implementation,” said Gary Sherne, President, StoneRiver – Insurance Solutions. “As a valuable strategic partner, they have afforded important insights that we have incorporated into our next generation Stream™ solution set. We are proud to be working with the Georgia Farm Bureau team, who is well positioned to continue to successfully achieve their goals of higher levels of customer service and a competitive suite of products to meet their insureds’ needs.”
