Off to the Summit, 2013!

Tess Dea Tess Dea, Business Analyst

Wow!  Each time I think of the eFreedom User Group turnout I can’t help but think “Wow”!   We had nearly 100 people register for the May User Group session and while we had intended to convene for between 60 and 90 minutes, we were able to visit with the User Group for 125 minutes!  Such an exciting, insightful session.

The User Group sessions are one of my favorite parts of working on our Annual Statement products.   Hearing from our clients and learning what obstacles they’re running into and then brainstorming to find solutions for their issues – there is no better sense of accomplishment in my workday!  The collaboration between StoneRiver and our users has driven eFreedom forward and made it a leader in Annual Statement filing!  THANK YOU, to all who have participated!

That brings us to our next User Group session – StoneRiver Summit at the gorgeous La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA from September 9 to September 11, 2013.   We have a wide array of sessions scheduled in addition to our User Group.  Here are just a few:

  • eFreedom “What’s New” -  In this eFreedom session, you’ll hear all about the new enhancements scheduled to be added in the 2013 Annual release.  Completion of this course will ensure you understand the benefits of these enhancements and how they can make your annual statement processing simpler.  Remember, many of the items added were voted on by you and we look forward to giving you a preview! • Certified Reinsurance Demystified - 2012 saw the addition of a new classification of reinsurer as well as major revisions to the reinsurance schedules in each statement.  Those changes led to a lot of questions at year-end 2012 statement preparation. This session will build upon those questions to provide companies with more clarity for 2013 reporting, cover expected additional reinsurance schedule changes for 2013 and provide an update on the status of certified reinsurers by state.
  • eFreedom “Deep Dive-Nones, Locks and Overrides - eFreedom allows you to manage your schedules in a variety of ways. In this session, we’ll take an in-depth look at the NONE, Lock and Override processes to determine what options they offer and how best to leverage their functionality in your statements.   From Consecutive Noneing to Locking Prior Period fields to viewing Overridden values and beyond, we’ll cover it all in this Deep-Dive session. Early-bird and Group pricing discounts are available, so don’t hesitate to register!  If you’ve been before, you know how informative and fun this conference is.  If you haven’t had the chance, this is the year to start! Let’s go off to the Summit!
